How to Build the Perfect Bathroom

I am so sure I am not alone when I say some of my best ideas came to me when I was in the bathroom. If you have not experienced this then maybe your own epiphany is on its way, you just need to set the right ambience. The bathroom should be a room of peace, solitude, and relaxation. It has to have the right balance of lighting, fixtures, and furniture. To make the perfect bathroom for your home you might need to consider a few important factors.

Be Practical

Remember that even though you want your bathroom to be serene and beautiful, it is a functional room first. Keep that in mind when choosing your toilets, sinks, faucets, tubs, and shower stalls. Make sure you have plenty of storage space and access to electric and water outlets.

Serenity

A bathroom is a personal sanctuary for most people. Make it a serene environment where one can relax and clear away the dirt and the stresses of the outside world.  It should be your own personal spa right within your home.

Plot Your Space

Do you need a vanity space within your bathroom? How far do you want it from the sinks? Do you need a tub? Where will you be keeping your soaps and other bath necessities? Before building your bathroom you need to walk around the space with your architect and come up with a space that is easy and pleasant to use.

Luxuries

The bathroom is one space you can afford to splurge on. Get a comfortable seat or a steam room, have high quality mirrors in the vanity area, get some superb looking Bathroom Accessories, or get some high end cabinetry that will be a delight to look at.

Customize

You can pick a theme for your bathroom that reflects your personality and tastes. Some options include styles of architecture that appeal to you, a motif that relaxes you, or a theme that you find attractive.

Know Materials

Bathrooms are meant to be serene relaxing places but so many accidents happen in there. To minimize risks of getting hurt with no one to assist you, make sure you use the right materials for the right surfaces. Know where to use marble, tile, or glass.

Your bathroom is a functional room but needs to create an environment conducive for rest and relaxation.
